Knowledge transfer partnerships and organisational development

Over the last few years we have been been commissioned for a range of advice projects providing policy development and design advice to a variety of organisations and individuals, all of whom have shown a real dedication to creating favourable conditions for children's play. This blog provides a list of some of the work we have carried out, if you're interested in the sorts of advice we can provide and the range of clients we work for take a look at this.

Starlight Children’s Foundation. Co-constructing an organisational play policy through a series of professional development workshops.  Due to be completed in 2023.

Leeds City Council. Supporting the Leeds Active team to implement our play sufficiency process, through a knowledge transfer partnership. Due to be completed in 2023.

OPAL. Delivering the OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) programme for primary schools across the Northwest of England. Ongoing

Tees Valley Museums Group. Mentor supported play sufficiency assessments across five museums with Charlotte Derry. Completed 2023.

Association of Voluntary Organisations in Wrexham (AVOW). Supervision and mentoring support for the Play Development Manager at AVOW who run The Land Adventure Playground in Plas Madoc. Completed 2023.

Made from Scratch. Play and risk management policy development and associated training. Completed 2022.

 

Tees Valley Museums Group. Becoming play friendly museums – online organisational development with Charlotte Derry. Completed 2021.

Sandwell Council. Supporting the local authority’s play team to implement our play sufficiency process, through a knowledge transfer partnership. Completed 2020.

Chester Zoo. Production of a play and risk management policy and accompanying guidance. Completed 2019.

Wild Kind CIC. Production of organisational resources and associated training. Completed 2019.

Isle of Anglesey County Council. Play sufficiency assessment consultancy support, including survey analysis. Completed 2019.

Brymbo Heritage Trust. Play policy development and staff mentoring. Completed 2018.

Hackney Council. Submission of advice and guidance regarding play sufficiency and the development of child friendly cities, with ZCD Architects. Completed 2018.

Assemble. Working with the Turner Prize-winning collective, to produce materials for their film about play and playwork: ‘The Voices of Children’. Completed 2016.
